Nice Reference Guide May 26, 2007 A nice reference for those who are interested in vintage big block Ford performance engines.

Make sure it includes your engine size Mar 18, 2007 From the title I assumed it included the Ford 460. I ordered the book for that specifically and it was not included. As a book it is very thorough and includes many photots and step-by-step for a complete rebuild.

Excellent resource for Big Block Ford info Feb 01, 2007 This makes the second purchase of this book for me, as my first from years ago was lost in a recent move. Most of the important information is there, leaving out only the non-crucial parts. I would recommend this book for all FE Ford guys, from the novice to the guys who were there when the FE was new.

Great book if you are rebuilding an old block out of an old car with original parts Oct 28, 2005 Great book if you are rebuilding an old block out of an old car with original parts. Lots of basic info. Apart from the basics, this book is useless if you are (re)building an engine using new and modern performance parts for a hot rod or kit car. Then again, the book is 22 years old. Missing were Torque tables and how to basically tune the engine and the carb for the breaking in milage. Not much point having the engine professionally tuned or dynoed if the engine is not yet broken in, you have to do it again after a few 1000 miles.

don't start without this book! Nov 05, 2004 I rebuilt my first engine, a 390 FE, with this book. It is worth it's weight in GOLD. From pulling the engine to bolting it all back in and turning the key, it's all covered here. Rebuilds are surprizingly easy and the satisfaction of doing yourself is the best reward.
